Licensed Practical Nurse

POSITION OVERVIEW: An LPN dispenses prescribed doses of methadone to patients on an assigned shift and maintains complete, accurate records in accordance with performance standards for drug & alcohol treatments programs and agency policy. The duties include:

• Administer methadone doses to patients and monitor the behavior of patients at the dispensing station.
• Maintain accurate narcotic records; prepare new methadone orders per physician request.
• Prepare take-home medication bottles & record information
• Ensure pharmacy area is clean and medications are secured in the safe at end of medication dispensing.
• Schedule patient physical examinations for physicians.
• Complete all position medication orders accurately a& timely, assist clinic physicians with physical examinations.
• File or document appropriate patient records in medical chart/EHR.
• Review all medical charts for content compliance.
