Location: Eagle Butte, SD
Duration: 13 weeks with possible extension
Shift: Nights (12 hours * 3 days)
Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician.
- Monitor and record the vital signs of patients.
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
- Document patient information accurately and timely.
- Perform tube feeding and catheterization procedures.
- Provide care for seniors and individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Assist in the management of acute pain.
- Participate in discharge planning.
Experience:
- Must have a valid LPN license.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures.
- Knowledge of specimen collection and processing techniques.
- Ability to triage patient needs effectively.
- Experience in acute pain management is a plus.
- Familiarity with discharge planning processes.
Requirements:
- Valid LPN license in New York.
- An active BLS (AHA) is required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
