Summary: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The LPN will provide direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians, ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of patients. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering high-quality care and possess strong communication and clinical skills.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to patients under the guidance and supervision of registered nurses and healthcare providers.
- Perform routine nursing procedures such as wound care, medication administration, and vital sign monitoring.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans based on individual patient needs.
- Document patient information, observations, and care provided accurately and timely in medical records.
- Assist in patient assessments, collect samples, and perform basic diagnostic tests as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Educate patients and their families about healthcare plans, medications, and self-care techniques.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards.
- Monitor and report any changes in patients' conditions to the registered nurse or physician.
Requirements:
- Valid and current LPN license in the state of practice.
- Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program.
- CPR certification and any additional certifications required by the state or facility.
- Proven experience or clinical rotation in a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrate attention to detail.
- Compassionate and empathetic demeanor towards patients' needs and concerns.
