General Description of Duties:
Assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain medical records. Administer nursing care to ill and injured patients and make referrals. May advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention or provide case management.
Job Duties:
- Consult and coordinate with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans.
- Monitor, record, and report symptoms and changes in patients’ conditions, medical information, vital signs, diet, and physical activity.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients’ conditions.
- Prepare patients for and assist with examinations and treatments.
- Other related duties as may be assigned.
Required Knowledge:
- Knowledge of the information and techniques needed to perform tasks to meet standards set by regulatory and oversight agencies or boards.
- Basic language knowledge for use in written and oral communications in the health care industry.
Required Skills:
- Ability to develop and interpret detailed medical instructions, read and understand medical records, ability to meet demands of medical team members in efficient and time manner. Ability to manage time and variety of activities effectively.
- Maintain standards and requirements for medical credentials license.
Education and Experience Requirements:
At a minimum, must have a current and valid Practical Nursing License. Must have at least three (3) years of relevant experience.
Work Schedule: Will be determine upon interview.
