Position Purpose: Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) assist in providing excellent patient care by assists physicians/physician assistants/nurse practitioners in medical office setting. Performs a variety of patient care duties within the construct of a multidisciplinary patient care team as delegated by physician.

Hours/Shift: Full Time/Days - Monday-Friday from 7:30a - 4:30p
Key Responsibilities:

• • Works under the direction of the provider and the Arizona State Nurse Practice Act to provide professional nursing care for clinic patients in compliance with nursing standards and regulations.
  • Triage patients by phone or in person, receiving and implementing telephone physician orders, maintaining clinical communication in a dynamic environment.
  • Assists providers and staff in coordinating patient care for both clinic and procedures.
  • Performs CLIA waived lab tests and obtains specimens.
  • Performs proficiency testing and runs controls for waived tests.
  • May perform venipuncture.

Qualifications:

• • Graduate of a practical or vocational nursing program and High school or Equivalent
  • Current, valid Arizona LPN license or compact state LPN/LVN license
  • American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification

Work Requirements: Able to distinguish appropriate colors, consistently reaching and/or working above and below shoulder level lifting up to 50 pounds, walking or being on feet 90% of time per day with frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, standing, sitting at desk 10% of the time per day; and communicating using telephone. Duties have routine potential for exposure to bloodborne pathogens, chemicals, and radioactive substances.
