Star Nursing Has Urgent Needs For LVNs in Roosevelt, UT!
Location: Roosevelt, Utah
Facility: LTC
Start date: 02/28/24
Length: 13 weeks
Need: Geriatric LPN
Shift: Nights 12 hrs (from 5:45 PM to 6:15 AM with opportunity for overtime)
EMR Used: PCC
LPN Pay rate:
Local or with housing: $36 (facility provided)
Travel no Housing: $18/hr taxed + $720/wk tax-free travel stipend (18/20)
** Must be 50 miles away from permanent residence to qualify for housing allowance**
Job Summary:
The facility is seeking an energetic, team oriented, resident focused, detail oriented,, and self-motivated LPN to join on our team on a temporary basis. Selected candidate will be working night shifts with an opportunity for overtime on our Long Term Care Halls.
Responsibilities:
• Provides direct and individualized care to an assigned group of patients based on the application of scientific principles, under the supervision of a registered professional nurse.
• Assists in relevant health teaching for residents and families.
• Shares responsibility for the planning and implementation of nursing care plans and nursing care.
• Participates in team conferences, sharing knowledge, information, and ideas among team members.
• Prepares, administers, and records medication in accordance with policy regarding the administration of medications by an LPN.
• Performs more complex nursing activities as competence increases.
• Participates in emergency care.
• Communicates frequently with the team leader regarding patient's physical and mental conditions.
• Records information concisely, accurately, and completely.
• Identifies and utilizes appropriate channels of communication.
• Constructively participates in appropriate committees within the nursing department and/or the hospital.
• Promptly answers resident call lights and requests.
• Other duties as requested within scope of practice.
Requirements:
• Current Resume - must be updated (gaps included if there's any)
• Active nursing license - UT LPN
• Current BLS/CPR
• Skills checklist
• 2– current/recent -Supervisor references
• Physical (within the last 12 months)
• PPD (within the last 12 months)
• MMR, Varicella, Hep B, Tdap/Flu
• LPN Exams
• Copy of driver’s license and SS card
• Must be able to pass background/ urine drug screen
• More documents to follow (will be sent once a candidate is accepted)
• Must be able to be cleared by DAC background check to work in the Facility preferably before starting.
