In collaboration with physicians, nursing staff, and other members of the healthcare team, and under the direction of the Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse provides focused and technical nursing care to Clinical Operations OB-GYN patients. This care encompasses health promotion, health maintenance, or management of health-related problems that is delivered in face-to-face or telephone encounters. Performs treatments and procedures within established guidelines, and provides a safe and therapeutic environment.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Explains procedures and treatments to patient to gain cooperation, understanding and apprehension.
- Be able to assist with patients who are medically complex and/or have sensitive medical or social issues.
- Reviews plan of care, meds/tests with physicians as needed.
- Contacts pharmacy for prescription renewals for patients.
- Conduct Nurse visit for procedures and testing.

- Licensed Practical Nurse Licensure in the State of New Jersey.
- Ability to function in a team environment.
- Basic word processing and computer skills.
- At least six (6) months of clinical nursing experience.
- At least six (6) months of phone triage experience.
