SalaryRegional SurgiCenter is hiring a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our passionate and talented team here in Moline, IL.
About the Opportunity
The individual hired will work from Monday to Friday with no weekends or holidays. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) responsibilities include assisting pre- and post-surgical patients, guiding them through the process, which includes check-in, taking vitals, explaining the procedure, and providing assistance during the post-operative recovery period. Additionally, they will explain discharge protocols, advise the patient and their support team or family on post-operative physician orders, and address pre/post-op calls.
About the Candidate
Minimum Requirements:
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Illinois with an unencumbered license
- Graduate of an accredited LPN program
- One (1) or more years of experience as an LPN or in a peri-operative setting in a clinical role
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications or the ability to obtain upon hire
Preferred Qualifications:
- Endoscopy experience strongly preferred
- LPN experience in the peri-operative setting or procedure healthcare, including demonstrated knowledge of sterile technique and working with anesthetized patients
- IV certification
