NMC is currently recruiting 3 per diem LNA's (1 on days and 2 for night shift) in our Progressive Care Unit. The hours are variable - day shift is generally 7a-7:30p and nights are 7p-7:30a and weekends as needed).

• JOB SUMMARY:
  • The LNA plans and implements assigned patient care in collaboration with the nursing staff on the unit. The LNA provides direct patient care for patients of all age groups under a wide variety of circumstances, including patient sitting/care companion and documents patient information. The LNA will also provide support on the assigned unit that may include reception and clerical functions while interacting professionally with staff to facilitate a healing environment for staff, patients, families and visitors. After training the LNA will perform EKG's and phlebotomy procedures as necessary.
• PREREQUISITES
  • Education: High school graduate or equivalent with a current licensure as a Licensed Nursing Assistant in the State of Vermont.
    Experience: Experience as a LNA in a hospital setting preferred. Computer experience required. Phlebotomy and ECG experience preferred.

Certifications: BLS required
Other: Knowledge of basic medical terminology. Communicates clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing. Has the ability to organize and prioritize multiple competing demands. Has an approachable, friendly demeanor.
