Description
RESPONSIBILITIES: Reports to the Clinical supervising Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Program Manager. S/he will provide one-to-one therapeutic services to clinic patients identified at intake as needing substance abuse and/or mental health treatment. S/he will develop treatment plans in coordination with the patients care team; connect patients service needs with El Proyecto internal and external resources/ programs, and; assesses patient progress and reports needed changes to treatment team. S/he will provide Individual, Couples, Family, and Group Therapy and provide diagnostic assessments. The Licensed Therapist may assist with the completion of Parenting Assessments, evaluating a parents strengths, areas of concern, and their ability to provide a safe and stable environment that is free from abuse and neglect for their child(ren). Keep accurate, up-to-date records on the patients and testify in court as needed. If applicable, supervise and evaluate interns receiving clinical hours at our agency and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and 2-3 years experience in clinical setting and diagnostic testing experience preferred.
REQUIREMENTS: This individual must be willing to perform a variety of tasks associated with a patients substance abuse/mental health issues, possess excellent communication skills, a thorough understanding of parenting and child development issues, a serious work ethic, and a desire to work in a team-orientated environment. S/he also possesses the ability to work independently, establish priorities, and meet deadlines. Experience working with culturally and racially diverse populations in lower socio-economic conditions. S/he must have strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and ability to maintain a good working relationship with co-workers and the general public. S/he must use good judgment in recognizing the scope of authority. Knowledge of Screening, Brief Intervention, Referral to Treatment (SBIRT) assessment a plus. Bilingual English/Spanish.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Must possess a dependable automobile, fully insured and a valid California Drivers License. Must submit to and pass a drug test, fitness for duty and a criminal background clearance as a condition to employment. Must be able to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination and Booster, TB test and Hepatitis B vaccine. BLS/CPR certification required.
