Salary: $100,000 - $120,000 annually + 7% Performance Bonus eligibility.

What Youll Do: Be a part of the movement to bring mobile mental health and crisis intervention services directly to the community. With several contract cities in Orange County, the Mobile Response teams provide intervention, referrals, transportation, and support to those needing mental health, substance abuse, housing, and addiction treatment services. Working closely with the Be Well OC leadership team, as well as the police, fire, and city leaders of your assigned city, you will provide operational and administrative leadership and management to a team of passionate Crisis Intervention Specialists. An innovative and flexible approach to leadership and management is needed for this dynamic role. Your ability to use your judgment and interpersonal skills will be the key to your success in this vital role in accomplishing Be Well OCs mission.
Strategic Leadership:
- Lead a team of passionate crisis intervention specialists, guiding their efforts with a strategic vision to provide the highest level of care to those in need.
- Shape the direction of our crisis support services and foster a culture of excellence.
- Attend and actively participate in meetings with
- Police Dept, Fire Dept, and other local first responders.
- Local social service agencies.
- County Department of Health and other government health organizations
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure our services are cutting-edge, effective, and adaptable to a rapidly evolving landscape.
- Provide supervision and accountability to the Crisis Intervention Specialists.
- Respond to high-intensity situations with police and fire along with the medic supervisor during regular business hours.
- Conduct interviews and collaborate with the HR team as needed.
- Manage mobile staff schedules, filling vacancies as needed.
- Serve as a backup CIS worker for a van as needed.

- Provide guidance, mentorship, and ongoing training to ensure each specialist is equipped to handle the diverse challenges they encounter.
- Provide oversight of intervention practices.
- Implement performance metrics, conduct audits, and refine processes to ensure the highest standards of care.
- Disseminate program data to stakeholders in coordination with the Director of Operations and Training & Development Manager.
- Your ability to build strong relationships within the community and with stakeholders will be instrumental in expanding our reach and impact.
- Represent Be Well OC at various events and meetings, fostering collaboration and awareness.
- Present to local organizations about the scope of service of the team and how to access them.
- Assist with tours, campus visits, and preparation for City Council meetings.
Qualifications:
- License: Possession of a valid and unrestricted license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or Clinical Psychologist issued by the California State Board of Behavioral Science.
- Minimum of three years post-licensure experience
- Clinical supervision experience
- Eligible to provide supervision to Master level clinicians applying for licensure.
- Three years in crisis intervention and/or field-based intervention, preferred.
- Knowledgeable about harm reduction, trauma-informed care, patient-centered care, and motivational interviewing.
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse population, including the impoverished, unhoused, and those suffering from chronic mental health challenges.
- CPR for healthcare professionals certified or able to ascertain certification within 60 days of employment.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication, adaptability, and professionalism.
- Must be organized and able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work with all levels of management and team members with diplomacy and tact.
- Strong sense of compassion and ability to maintain a calm demeanor amid high-intensity situations.
- Acute attention to detail.
- Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
- Creative, flexible, and innovative team player.
- Ability to adhere to priorities and project timelines.
- Must pass a stringent criminal background check and driving record review, both conducted by the citys police department.
- Valid CA driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Microsoft Office skills and the ability to learn proficiency in organization-specific programs and software.
- Climb stairs and move in any terrain.
- Lift and drag at least 50 kg.
- Squat, stand, or kneel for prolonged periods of time.
- Maintain focus and composure when around bodily fluids.
