Seeking a US Veteran, National Guardsman, Reservist, and/or Military Spouse to apply for a Licensed Intervention Counselor position with our client, the largest provider of mental health services in North Texas, serving over 55,000 adults and children annually for over 50 years. In addition to behavioral health care, our client provides primary care centers for adults and children, services for veterans and their families, accessible pharmacies, housing, and supportive social services. The Licensed Intervention Counselor is primarily responsible for monitoring services and providing intervention to individuals with a positive screening for various measures, especially those centralized around DSRIP. Such interventions include, but are not limited to, tobacco cessation, alcohol, depression, and/or suicidal ideation. Candidate is required to have a Masters Degree in Psychology, Social Work, and/or related field, independently licensed to work in Texas as a LPC, LMFT, and/or LCSW, and 2+ years of clinical experience.

 

Pay: $70,000-$76,000/year Full-time

        $33-36.50/hour Part-time

 

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.

**Starting 100% onsite. Clinicians must meet KPI’s before being considered to work 2 days remote.

 

Responsibilities: Veteran Military

·      Provides therapeutic counseling/intervention services in accordance with clinical screenings.

·      Assists in completing intake assessments and diagnostic formulations as needed.

·      Coordinates services within the Agency and other community providers.

·      Assists with the involvement and education of the consumer’s family at a level acceptable to the consumer.

·      Responds to crisis or potential crisis situations and ensures the appropriate level of care through the coordination of services or the provision of community support services.

·      Documents services in the automated clinical record keeping system with 24 hours after services have occurred.

·      Provides overall service coordination, referral, linkage, and advocacy to consumers with varying needs. Performs duties in concert with other members of an interdisciplinary treatment team.

·      Participates in interdisciplinary team staffing, presents psychosocial assessment findings, and encourages consumers to attend staffing.

·      Performs other duties as assigned.

 

 

Requirements: Veteran Military

·      US Military Veteran, Guardsman, Reservist, and/or Military spouse preferred.

  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, and/or related field required.
  • Independent licensure is required LPC, LMFT, LCSW.

·      2+ years of clinical experiencerequired

·      Training and expertise in evidenced-based psychotherapies preferred.

·      Experience across a range of modalities beyond individual adult treatment to include child, couples, family, and group treatment is preferred.

·      Must have experience treating and diagnosing posttraumatic stress as well as comorbid diagnoses (e.g., anxiety), and with evidence-based treatments.

·      Experience working with a military or veteran population is preferred.

·      Experience utilizing an electronic health record is preferred.

·      Ability to provide services in Spanish is preferred.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information concerning consumers and family members.
  • Possess clinical skills for evaluating accuracy of clinical screening and providing appropriate clinical intervention.
