Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming Life & Health telephone calls and address needs and concerns of our members and policyholders and customer.
- Explain product and policy limits and suggest coverage to members and policyholders. ...
- Provide support to all functional areas of the company related to insurance products.
- Working knowledge of core business functions: underwriting, claims and Property and Casualty policies.
- Basic knowledge of related pricing, marketing, insurance models and contracts.
- General knowledge of principles and processes for providing excellent customer service.
- Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling insurance products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, and sales techniques.
Working hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
- State of Maryland Property and Casualty Insurance License, desired not required.
- Telemarketing experience highly desired.
- Bachelors degree in marketing, insurance, business, or related field is desired.
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
- State of Maryland Life and Health Insurance License.
- Minimum one to three years Life & Health experience.
- Excellent telephone manner and an ability to connect with the caller.
- Demonstrated keen social perception skills with the ability to apply this awareness to facilitate objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and motivate others in a productive manner.
- Strong active listening skills, giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the questions asked, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
- Ability to explain product line and up sell or cross sell.
- Ability to provide quotes and bind insurance.
- Review renewals to ensure proper and complete coverage.
- Expert time and resource management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present information, communicate with management, partners, and, most importantly, policy holders.
