Job Description:

We are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Funeral Director/Embalmer to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in assisting families through one of the most challenging times in their lives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a sincere desire to provide comfort and support to grieving individuals.

Responsibilities:

Meet with families to make funeral arrangements, including discussing options and providing guidance on available services

Coordinate and oversee all aspects of funeral services, ensuring that the wishes of the deceased and their families are honored

Prepare and embalm deceased individuals with care and precision, adhering to all relevant regulations and industry standards

Conduct visitations, funeral ceremonies, and graveside services with professionalism and compassion

Assist families with necessary paperwork, including death certificates, permits, and other legal documents

Provide ongoing support and follow-up to bereaved families, offering resources and assistance as needed

Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment, including ensuring the proper maintenance of facilities and equipment

Collaborate effectively with other staff members to ensure seamless service delivery and exceptional customer satisfaction

Qualifications:

Valid Ohio license as a Funeral Director and Embalmer

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Compassionate and empathetic demeanor, with a genuine desire to help others in times of need

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion

Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Previous experience in a funeral home or related field is preferred but not required
