Licensed Esthetician Apprenticeship

Looking for real world experience post graduation? B|L Spa is currently seeking out first and second year graduates who are looking for real spa experience. The main focus will be in providing services but can cover a variety of areas throughout the spa.

Paid internship with a 50/50 commission split. Minimum 3 month contract at the point of onboarding. Each individual will receive a certificate of completion and a recommendation letter from the Spa Director to use throughout their job search. Post apprenticeship has potential for future employment here at B|L Spa.

Esthetician Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide facials, waxing, and body treatments.
• Welcome guests in a warm, friendly manner and accompany them to and from treatment rooms.
• Conduct a consultation with each guest to obtain the proper information in order to address guest skin concerns.
• Assess guests' brief health history in order to determine which products are right for them.
• Conduct a skin analysis after the cleansing process of the facial. This along with the consultation and health history will assess in selecting the best facial option for guests.
• Advise guests on skin care, and recommend suitable treatments and home care regimens.
• Maintain a professional personal image of the Salon.
• Suggest various upgrades such as the use of specialized skincare products.
• Conduct pre and/or post treatment consultations for guests with problem areas, advising how best to care for their skin.
• Attend all staff meetings and continuing education workshops.
• Take 15 minutes before and after each service in order to set up and break down the workstation.
• Disinfect work rooms before and after each guest service.
• Take aesthetic laundry throughout the day in order to assist with laundry duties.
• Keep track of inventory in the assigned treatment room.

Qualifications

• A current and valid state license for Esthetics
• Ability to maintain a professional personal appearance
• Previous experience (preferred)
• Must be least 18 years old
• Pay can vary on experience and commission rates
