Meridian Health Services is currently seeking a full time Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) to work in the Behavioral Health Center based out of Fort Wayne, Indiana. This position will be responsible for the provision of clinical services in order to improve psychosocial functioning.
Meridian’s Addiction and Recovery Center program offers professional counseling by Licensed Addiction Counselors, Licensed Social Workers, Licensed Clinical Social Workers, Mental Health Counselors and Marriage and Family Therapist. We work with individuals and their supports with life challenges. We are committed to providing individual, person-centered attention to help individuals and families achieve mental, emotional, and physical well-being. The schedule for this position is 40 hours, 5 days a week with some telehealth.
Licensed Addiction Counselor Key Responsibilities:
- Provide various therapeutic services that may include individual and group therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy skills, etc.
- Ability to meet individual patient needs
- Comply with company documentation standards
- Maintain appropriate professional behavior and relationships
We are seeking Licensed Addiction Counselor candidates with the following qualities:
- Master’s degree in Indiana license eligible field (Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Addiction Studies) REQUIRED
- Proof of application for the Indiana exam to obtain Temporary Licensure within 60 days of hire at minimum
- Successful attainment of LAC ot LCAC Required
