PURPOSE OF CLASSIFICATION
The purpose of this classification is to support our role on the Dissemination Committee as part of the Teen Pregnancy grant, performing a variety of duties to create and disseminate Teen Pregnancy information.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Creating flyers to disseminate providing teen pregnancy information.
Teen pregnancy outreach (staffing our booth, sharing information in the community)
Providing caregivers with interventions strategies created by the Network
Recruiting students for the Youth Create event and other initiatives
Attending webinars & training sessions
Sending out recruitment materials from the network team
Assisting in teaching Health Literacy and the use of MedlinePlus
Disseminating Articles on Teen Pregnancy Intervention Strategies
Providing information and statistics for monthly reports
Sharing ideas and feedback from community participants
Disseminating information on Teen Pregnancy Prevention Month
Other duties as assigned related to getting the information on teen pregnancy preventions strategies out to the community
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS
Performs other related duties as required.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or GED preferred; experience in public/customer service preferred. Required to work 10 hours per week, evenings and weekends required, at Headquarters and in the community.
Physical Abilities:/b> Tasks require the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, but which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (5-10 pounds). Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or workstation.
Sensory Requirements: Some tasks require the ability to perceive and discriminate colors or shades of colors, sounds, texture, and visual cues or signals. Some tasks require the ability to communicate orally.
Environmental Factors: Performance of essential functions may require exposure to adverse environmental conditions such as dust, pollen, odors, or noise extremes.
