F.D. Bluford Library of North Carolina A&T State University invites applications for the new position of Research and Instruction Librarian. Reporting to the Head of Research, Instructional, and Engagement Services, this position will be the primary contact for coordinating instruction with faculty and supporting the Library's teaching and research efforts. This position provides reference, e-learning, outreach, instruction and research support services, and will act as a liaison to the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences. This is a twelve-month, tenure-track assistant professor position. The work schedule includes some evenings and weekends.

The mission of F. D. Bluford Library is to support and advance teaching, learning, and research at N.C. A&T through user-focused services, technologies, and physical and virtual learning spaces. We ensure individuals have access to globally trusted information resources that equip them with the knowledge to provide solutions to society's challenges. The library serves nearly 13,500 students, over 650 faculty, and the residents of the Piedmont Triad region. The library is a select depository for federal and state publications. Open 24 hours a day, library users have access to over a million print and electronic resources, technology-enhanced group study rooms, over 200 computer workstations, wireless access throughout the building, mobile Internet devices, and archives that document the history of the University, and the region.
Minimum Requirements Master's degree in Library and Information Science. Knowledge of the ACRL Framework for Information Literacy. Experience in teaching or familiarity with the operation of an academic library at a research institution.
Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education Competence with information technologies, teaching in diverse formats, and experience integrating technology with library services. Experience and a working knowledge of the social sciences. Second master's degree.
