The Position: Liaison Officer (LNO) to support liaison activities between AMSA's Aerial Communications and Mission Command (ACMC) and Program Executive Office for Command-Tactical (PEO C3T). The overall goal of the position is to enable efficient communication between organizations for multiple outcomes: maturing CEMOSS Mounted Form Factor, (CMFF) CMFF & Mounted Mission Command Transport (MMC-T)/Blue Force Tracker 3 (BFT-3) for aviation, developing and maintaining relationships with other agencies/organizations in the region (including but not limited to Pd.M. HAMMR, Pd.M. HMS, and Pd.M. TMC) and ensuring aviation is a consideration for the relevant stakeholders in the Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG) region.

The Description:
  • Develops knowledge and demonstrates subject matter expertise for ACMC programs, products, and efforts (AGNR, ARC-231A, ARC-220, IMPACT (TAIS/AMPS), BFT, CAFRS, and emerging/future efforts including CMFF & MMC-T/BFT-3, networked waveform developments, and card-based solutions, Common Operating Environment (COE) Convergence, etc.
  • Attends/organizes/briefs key meetings, represents Pd.M. ACMC and reports back on any information/decisions/actions which affect ACMC.
  • Evaluates and assesses technical, logistical, and operational concepts, reports, and plans to ensure compliance and cohesiveness with relevant guidance, directives and policies.
  • Conducts analyses and studies to establish the feasibility of systems and subsystems requirements, and assists Functional Leads (FLs), APMs, or ACMC HQ with requirements analysis, implementation, and compliance with directives and procedures.
  • Supports the FLs, APMs, and IPTs in the collection, dissemination, and development of product information/data for critical decision making.
  • Effectively coordinates with organizations to synchronize ACMC program schedules with APG stakeholders.
  • The ideal candidate must be an articulate written and oral communicator with excellent people skills.
  • Must possess the ability to work well on teams and with others, as well as individually/independently without direct supervision or oversight.
  • Must be a self-starter, able to take mission orders and determine what needs to be done to accomplish objectives and achieve expected management outcomes.
  • Must be adept at resolving conflicts, and in achieving group consensus when working difficult problems to find the "win-wins".

The successful candidate will have the education and experience below:
  • An Active DoD Secret clearance is required
  • Bachelor of Science (BS) and eight (8) years of experience.
  • ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION: Ten (10) years of experience and/or an Associate's Degree. Fourteen (14) years of experience and/or a High School Diploma.

Travel: Not to exceed 25%
The Working Environment: The physical environment requires the employee to work on-site at the government program office, sitting in a cubicle or at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday. The employee may be required to walk short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site. On some occasions, the employee may be required to drive to offices or buildings near the work site. In rare occasions, travel may be required.
