About the Role
We are looking for an engaged and results-oriented intern to join our U.S. Life and Health Underwriting team. You will be responsible for building and maintaining profitable relationships with key clients, underwriting U.S. Life and Health business, and working with clients and internal cross-functional teams as needed.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Gain and maintain knowledge of basic life insurance insurance products and and principles of risk selection
Assist with updating, classifying and organizing the Sharepoint site for our US Life and Health Underwriting team
Research and compile a listing of inforce coverage on large family and business groups within the United States to help mitigate Swiss Re risk and exposure
Help with the US Life and Health Underwriting team's social media training and strategy
Support Swiss Re's market presence via consistent sharing of company initiatives, news and events via social media
Provide strategic support and handle projects and other responsibilities as determined.
About the Team
The US Life & Health Underwriting team is an experienced group of dedicated professionals based in Canada, the United States, and Mexico. In addition to our strong facultative underwriting services, we work together to find efficient and innovative solutions to meet our clients' needs and exceed their expectations.

• Possess strong decision-making and problem-solving capabilities.
• Have excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently and cohesively with the rest of the underwriting team and other Swiss Re departments.
• Be willing to participate in projects and other team initiatives.
• Are competent with the use of social media.

For Armonk, the base salary will be $20-$30 per hour, depending on location, qualifications, projected graduation year and/or highest degree held.
