Job description

Typical Duties:

  • Assist with management of day to day operations of the facility
  • Participate in on-going professional training and staff development, program treatment and organizational development
  • Assist with implementation of behavior modification systems appropriate for the treatment milieu
  • Complete any required documentation. (i.e. service notes, communication log, Daily activity log, maintenance log, daily house cleaning log, MAR form, etc.)
  • Assist with coordination with Residential (AP) monthly recreational activities, resident appointments, etc.
  • Administer and chart medications as prescribed by client’s physician. Observe client and report any problems with medications to their physician.
  • Provide approved interventions as needed under direct supervision of the AP/ QP
  • Serve as counselor and teacher to the residents by maintaining a warm, stable, therapeutic and instructive atmosphere in the house; actively work to form therapeutic relationships with residents; model responsible behavior; and make active use of available treatment techniques, tools and of individual counseling skills.
  • Ensure that resident maintain a safe and clean living environment by teaching, instructing, inspecting, and assisting resident with learning to be responsible for assigned areas by ensuring that resident clean living area and assigned areas daily.
  • Other duties as assigned

Educational Requirements: High School Diploma or Equivalent GED

Work History: Minimum three (6) months to one year work experience.

  • Basic reading and writing
  • Must have ability to effectively communicate ideas and observations
  • Basic computer skills in working with internet based database and Microsoft
  • Ability to work in a therapeutic environment with persons disabilities
  • Ability to work well in a structured or non-structured environment
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong oral, written and spoken communication skills
  • Ability to listen to consumers
  • Ability to correct and instruct without demeaning or belittling consumer
  • Ability to accurately and thoroughly document consumer behavior, incidents involving consumer, medication, and other program requirements, using the forms designated for each specific occasion
  • Attendance at weekly clinical supervision meetings

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Schedule:

  • 12 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
