SUMMARY
Acts as support point person primarily to the Closure Operations. At times, this position will be required to flex shifts to support business needs. Coordinate and support the safety and work performance of maintenance team members as directed by the Maintenance Manager/Team Leads. Understands the operation schedule, suggests process & equipment improvement, and supports the cross functional initiatives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Direct & monitor the day-to-day operations of maintenance team members to assure safe and smooth work flow
• Assist Maintenance Manager/Team Leaders to oversee the day to day operation
• Understand and comply with applicable quality, environmental, and safety regulation
• Effectively communicate, interpret, and support overall departmental and organizational goals
• Educate and encourage team members to understand the high performance work team
• Work closely with Operations, Engineering, QA, Product Development, and Supply Chain teams/team members
• Teach team members effectively to ensure understanding and compliance for maintenance tasks assigned
• Understand the CMMS system and be able to teach other team members
• Assist in executing preventive maintenance tasks
• Assist in developing work instructions for preventive and predictive maintenance program
• Monitor installations, maintenance, and repair of production equipment
• Capable of diagnosing, analyzing, investigating and correcting causes of malfunction of operations and utility equipment and machinery
• Read and troubleshoot from PLC ladder logic and I/O charts
• Read and understand schematics and electrical load schedules
• Read and understand mechanical blueprints, sketches, and diagrams
• Work with electricity, 120V to 480V circuits
• Promote teamwork, trust, accountability, and respect within the team by leading by example
• Maintain satisfactory attendance, to include timeliness

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Effectively communicate task performance of peers and team members to Maintenance Manager/Team Leaders
• Effectively communicate between shifts, collaborate with cross-functional team (operations/controls/facilities/engineering/etc.)
• Effectively assign support based on business need, prioritize breakdown in support of production schedule
QUALIFICATIONS:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• High School Diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate.
• 5 years of experience working with manufacturing & industrial equipment
• Required to work overtime if necessary
• Required to work any shift (to include nights and weekend)
• Required to work in all production & utility areas of the G3 Closure Facility when needed
• Experienced in working in a team environment
• Read, write, and understand the English language.
• Climb stairs and ladders; comfortable working at heights.
• Familiar with the use of MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint
• Demonstrated sense of urgency
• Demonstrated written and oral communication skills
• Required to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• 8 years of experience working with manufacturing & industrial equipment to include:
o Injection Molding
o Cap/Capsule Printing
o Cap forming machines
o Press
o Compressor, dryers, vacuum system, Chillers
o Water treatment system
o RTO - Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer
• College or trade school course experience to include courses in welding, machine shop technology, fabrication, basic electrical, hvac, pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Experienced in writing routine reports and correspondence
• Proficient in the use of MS word, MS Excel at an intermediate level; MS windows navigation, and MS Access at a basic level
• Experienced in defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions
• Experienced in interpreting a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with abstract and concrete variables
• Experienced in reading and interpreting precision measuring equipment
• Experienced in speaking effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization
• Knowledge of HACCP, ISO, GMP policies, and OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness)

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, and the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is high (requires hearing protection). Indoor temperatures fluctuate from winter to summer. Outdoor temperatures fluctuate from winter to summer (between 30-105 degrees).
Compensation
- Hiring Hourly Rate: $48.00.
- Actual compensation amount paid may be lower or higher to be determined by factors other than race and gender such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
