Aboutthe Role
Thisposition will oversee the safety of water park guests by monitoring theattraction to prevent accidents. He/She will explain and enforce LEGOLAND WaterPark policies and procedures; assist water park guests in distress or in dangerof drowning. This position will administer first aid and CPR as needed,maintain records, and perform other duties as assigned.
Health & Safety:
• Follow all safety protocol astrained, and maintain a safe environment for guests and MCs alike
• Maintain certification inlifeguarding and CPR skills
• Be aware of health risks suchheat exhaustion and how to properly treat it
• Have basic training in firstaid skills
MainResponsibilities:
Responsiblefor ensuring all company policies and procedures are adhered to by the self andguests. To ensure a safe working environment at all times for bothinternal and external guests. Use and maintain water park facilitiesand equipment properly and safely. Follow all health and safetyprocedures. Must have the responsibility to respond to anyemergencies while in the park and must show a sense of urgency whileworking. Responsible for performing all lifeguarding skills based onIAM StarGuard criteria, guest interaction skills, and overall dailyperformance. Liaison between upper management andguests. Acquired product knowledge and keep updated on changeswithin the park and water park. Understand the resort's objectivesand what part they can play to ensure success. Ensure water parkarea and capacity is managed per DOSH guidelines. Contribute toinnovations that would enhance guest experience. Ensure staffinglevels are adequate for the day-to-day operation of the area, rotations andbreaks are run effectively throughout the day. Maintain minimumtraining as set down by the department's procedure. Provide medicalsupport from team appropriately for all guests. Provide excellentguest service with safety in mind. Take pride in their wardrobe& appearance (Must bring a respiration mask to workdaily). Demonstrate ownership of all MC facilities. WaterPark Lifeguard MC is responsible for all aspects for Health, Safety, andSecurity within their area. This position must be aware of the IIPP(Injury and Illness Prevention Program) and their obligation under it. Thisposition must follow all DOSH regulations for the Water Park. The Lifeguardmust ensure that safe working practices are followed at all times and mustnotify management of any areas of concern.
Requirements:
• Have a current IAM StarGuardLifeguard Certification or has the ability to obtain an IAM Starfishcertification through LEGOLAND® facilitated training.
• Have a current IAM StarGuard CPR/AEDfor the Professional Rescuer certification or has the ability to obtain anIAM Starfish certification through LEGOLAND® facilitated training.
• Current IAM StarGuard First Aidcertification or has the ability to obtain an IAM Starfish certificationthrough LEGOLAND® facilitated training.
• Must be able to pass written andpractical skills exam prior to duty.
• Must have visual and auditory abilityto respond to critical incidents, and the physical ability to act swiftly inemergency situations.
• Must be willing to work flexiblehours, including evenings, weekends, to support park hours.
EMPLOYEES
Employees areresponsible for the safety of themselves, their colleagues and guests (whereappropriate), in line with the Group Policy (HS001) and the law. In particular,they must ensure that they follow safe working procedures for all workactivities that they undertake and they must not use any tools or equipment forwhich they have not been trained. Where incidents do occur, theymust ensure that they are reported to their line manager and must cooperatewith any investigation as appropriate.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:
This position involves constant moving, talking, hearing, reaching, grabbing, and standing for at least two consecutive hours. May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders. Vision abilities include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Involves lifting at least 25 lbs. and up to 50 lbs. in some departments. Work typically performed outdoors in various weather conditions. Compensation:
Compensation for the opportunity is $18.50/hr.
