SalaryThe Secretary of the Senate’s Senate Chief Counsel for Employment is seeking a Legal Administrator. This is supervisory, administrative work managing the administrative operations of a legal office, including supervising all non-attorney personnel; serving as a liaison between attorneys and staff; evaluating and providing oversight of the office’s operating and information systems; overseeing and managing the office’s finances; assisting in client development activities; and evaluating, managing, and maintaining the facilities of the office. Work includes identifying and planning for the changing needs of the organization; sharing responsibility for strategic planning with the Chief Counsel; and partnering with the Chief Counsel and Deputy Chief Counsel to select, train, and develop SCCE staff. Work is bound by the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure; Secretary of the Senate policies and procedures; the U.S. Senate Handbook; and the Senate Ethics Manual, but requires independent judgment in setting priorities and handling assignments.
