Teaches courses in the discipline area of History. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Provides advising and academic support to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Teaches typical load of 12 semester-hours of undergraduate courses each semester in the area of history in face-to-face, hybrid, and online formats.Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement.Provides advisement, and academic support to students as Maintains classes related records and assesses student Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular Participates in departmental, college, and university required activities.
Minimum:
- Requires a master's degree inclusive 18 hours or in History or related field.Teaching experience at undergraduate level in traditional classroom settings and/or An established research interest to seek publications in refereed journals and other scholarly A commitment to student engagement and academic Ability to communicate effectively, participate in departmental and university activities, and mentor students.
Preferred:
- Earned D. from accredited institution.One (1) or more years of experienceAbility to interactively engage students to develop their enhanced critical thinking
- Skill in communication at all levels and student mentoring.
