Summary
Responsible for daily administration of all types of employee leaves of Absence and associated customer service to employees and management.

Description

Logistics
This position is full time (40 hours/week) Monday-Friday in a typical office environment. Employees are required to have the flexibility work an 8-hour shift scheduled during hours of 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. This position may require overtime as workload dictates. Columbia, SC (Onsite)
What you will do:
  • Responsible for daily administration of all types of employee leaves of Absence and providing customer service to these employees and their management.
  • Prepare and review reports to verify data accuracy and make corrections as necessary. Maintains employee records, electronic logs, and analyzes reports and makes decisions based on the analysis.
  • Develop communication tools to assist employees with understanding of company Leave of Absence processes.
  • Consults and assists Employee Relations with ADA reasonable accommodations.
To Qualify for this position, you will need:
  • Associate degree in any major
  • 3 years of Human Resource experience
  • Degree Equivalency: 4-years job related work experience
  • Good judgment skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in spelling, punctuation, grammar skills.
  • Effective organizational and customer service skills.
  • Ability to persuade, negotiate, or influence others.
  • Analytical or critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information with discretion.
  • Microsoft Office
We prefer that you have:
  • Demonstrated Math Skills
  • Basic experience with payroll processes
  • 2-3 years of FMLA, ADA, LOA, and parental leave experience
  • Familiarity with State and Federal Acts and Laws concerning Leave
  • Critical Thinking Skills
