The Opportunity

As a dedicated Learning Performance ConsultantIntermediate Level, you will work with the Operational Support Planning & Training team within USAA Property and Casualty Actuarial and Analytics department. You will play a pivotal role in shaping learning and development strategies for our Data and Analytics Academy. We are seeking a passionate individual with a strong background in instructional design, training delivery, and learning technology. As a Learning Professional you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and evaluate learning solutions that strengthen analytical knowledge and skills.

Serves as an internal learning consultant to enhance the performance of employees through the identification of learning solutions. Works as a partner to assist the business in identifying gaps in knowledge to make recommendations and implement solutions to enable achievement of performance goals and objectives.

We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week. This position can be based in our San Antonio, TX office location. Relocation assistance

What you'll do:

  • Partners with business and internal peer partners to identify learning opportunities, define learning requirements (problem identification, performance requirements, measure of success, etc.) and facilitate the delivery of learning solutions.
  • Supports internal business partnerships to solve business problems related to performance opportunities, knowledge gaps and learning opportunities and ensure appropriate elements are communicated in a clear and timely manner.
  • Acquires and applies maturing knowledge of the business, its products and processes to provide effective learning solutions.
  • Gathers information, analyzes data trends, and provides recommendations for learning solutions to the business.
  • Participates in the development and implementation of learning recommendations as a project team resource.
  • Manage instructor-led class enrollments and attendance.
  • Works in close coordination with Learning Support Advisors to manage and organize learning logistics and plans.
  • May support performance improvement projects and implements performance improvement interventions or plans to support business learning requirements.
  • Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.

What you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • 2 years of experience coordinating, defining, developing and/or delivering learning and development programs aligned to business needs.
  • Experience gathering requirements and being a liaison to business partners regarding learning needs.

What sets you apart:

  • US military experience through military service or a military spouse/domestic partner [optional].
  • Experience with crafting learning strategies.
  • Experience with video, graphic design, and or e-learning development.
  • Experience with instructional design for adult learners.
  • Project management experience.
  • Analytical background or experience with SQL.

What we offer:

Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location. The salary range for this position is: $59,290 - $100,050

Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
