Position Summary
Under limited supervision, this position is responsible for providing end to end expertise, research, planning, direction and production for various multimedia training programs. Guides and creates course design including hybrid/online/on demand/face to face delivery. Manages the completion of the training requirements, including editing and final documentation. This position participates with the Learning Management System Administration. This position may participate in the New Employee Orientation process. This position works closely with stakeholders across the college.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Develops and implements training and development programs aimed at improving individual and organizational performance; ensures quality training classes are delivered with customer satisfaction.
  • Manages, plans, and guides training courses or programs for campus-wide implementation.
  • Provides complex and integrated planning, development and production of entire multimedia series, managing from inception to completion, including editing, final documenting and storage of multimedia.
  • Leads ongoing partner relationships to include consulting, design, editing and quality for implementations of training programs.
  • Participates in Learning Management System (LMS) management including effective administration, functionality and troubleshooting issues.
  • Develops and documents processes or policies as needed to establish consistent use of the system.
  • Trains managers/supervisors on use of the system.
  • Develops reports and queries for organizational users.
  • Works with staff and subject matter experts to create and manage learning assignments.
  • Communicates with LMS vendor to ensure system accessibility and technical standards.
  • Tests all changes to the LMS, posts and test e-Learning modules.
  • Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves problems with course design, LMS configuration and infrastructure.
  • Oversees vendor management for online learning content.
  • Oversees the installation of all system updates, upgrades, and integrated tools.
  • Compiles and communicates training metrics for online and classroom courses in order to measure training effectiveness .
  • Makes recommendations on future improvements to content management, workflow processes, and end user experience.
  • May assist with the execution of the New Employee Orientation process for the Training department.
  • May participate in supervising employees in Training Department to include Student Employees.
  • Researches and recommends new, emerging online learning technology to enhance course design.
  • Develop courses using collaborative methods and incorporating best practices using varied instructional tools.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree and three (3) years related experience which may include training, teaching, course design.

Preferences:
  • Previous direct experience using one or more online learning management systems.
  • Previous experience developing trainings, projects, and programs that include but are not limited to: planning, scheduling, and tracking project timelines, milestones, risks, and deliverable's using appropriate project management tools.
  • At least 1 year of course design experience working with E-Learning Software.
