Description
Position Summary:
The Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator is responsible for the implementation, management, maintenance, and monitoring of the Learning Management System. This includes defining and updating user roles, creating learning courses, building curriculum paths, and all aspects of assessments, reporting, and data analytics related to learning and development.
Roles and Responsibilities/ Essential Functions:

  • Configure the Learning Management System (LMS) which includes the backend architecture including active?directory tie-in and account set up.
  • Manage user permissions.
  • Manage and develop learning content and features.
  • Develop and administer curriculums based on job role or career pathing.
  • Partner with stakeholders to assess training offerings.
  • Troubleshoot LMS issues within the system, which includes working with the vendor to submit tickets for fixes and enhancements.
  • Manage implementation and roll out of new LMS enhancements.
  • Evaluate course impact and knowledge transfer through evaluations and assessments.
  • Develop, deliver, and analyze data from within the LMS using all reporting capabilities within the LMS.
  • Provide classroom support to course facilitators.
  • Develop and implement LMS standard operation procedures to ensure efficient publishing of high-quality training, including online, ILT, materials, videos and other materials supporting training content.

  • Technical Aptitude: Technical aptitude looks at the ability of the individual to relate to topics which require an understanding or specialized knowledge. This competency asks the question "How well do you understand complex issues and specialized information?"
  • Conceptual Thinking: Conceptual thinking is the ability to understand a situation or problem by identifying patterns or connections between ideas or situations that are not obviously related; to recognize and organize the parts of an issue in a systematic way; and to frame new ideas and courses of action. This competency asks the question "How well do you recognize the common factors in new situations and apply previously successful approaches to those situations?"
  • Problem Solving: Problem solving skills looks at the ability of the individual to recognize courses of action which can be taken to handle problems or potential problems and applying contingency plans to solve those problems. This competency asks the question "How effectively can you think through an issue and develop a solution to a problem?"

Required Experience:
  • 2+ years LMS management experience including creating and providing reports and analytics.
  • Knowledge in the use of SCORM or other publishing criteria
  • Knowledge of instructional design and adult learning theory
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a diverse, dynamic, and fast-paced environment
  • Must be capable of serving and maintaining records across various regions
  • Must be able to manage multiple assignments simultaneously

Preferred Experience:
  • Knowledge in adult eLearning theory
  • E-learning development experience

Required Skills, Education and/ or Certifications:
  • Associate degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field or relevant work experience.

Preferred Skills, Education and/ or Certifications:
  • Gyrus LMS experience a plus
