Job description

Chick-fil-A’s Learning & Development department is on its way toward building a Design & Production agency with a mission to curate and build effective and engaging content that brings to life the vision of Learning & Development and prepares them for successful delivery. Ultimately, this leads to quality learning experiences for Audiences (Staff, Operators, Restaurant Leaders, and Team Members), making it ridiculously easy to learn. The Production team, which sits within the Design and Production Team, is responsible for the overall production and publishing of new, learner-facing assets.

 

The Content Producer works with the Sr. Team Leader, as assigned, to produce and publish new learning assets. They are responsible for executing and/or working with vendors and contractors in the creation of learning assets, including media components, in support of a multitude of Learning and Development projects covering various areas of the business. They are organized, detail-oriented, proactive, self-motivated, adaptable, and can solve problems independently.

The Work:

  • Determine and execute the production needs for all learning content and assets for all learning modalities both current and future. Example deliverables: Staff and Restaurant Training videos and images (e.g., Training-at-a-Glance/How-to videos, images for procedures, etc.), Internal CFA branding videos and images (e.g., Leadership, Staff support, Appearance and Apparel), Business department videos and images (e.g., CFA Delivery, Service and Hospitality, Menu, Food Safety, etc.), Animation videos, Staff and Operator Testimonials, Departmental and company event productions, etc
  • Partner with Learning Designers, Procedural Support, and key stakeholders to translate designs into learning content and experiences appropriate for targeted audiences across multiple content areas and learning platforms simultaneously. Examples: instructor-led training (in-person and virtual), Learning Management Systems (LMS), videos, asynchronous e-Learning, one-pagers, webinars, and other digital learning solutions
  • Work collaboratively with Audience Learning teams to ensure responsibilities related to pre, during and post-production are delivered seamlessly and as designed while also seeking to continuously improve
  • Convert complex topics and simplify into digestible learning experiences that will support business objectives
  • Work closely with Audience Learning teams and leaders and Digital Learning teams to continue to influence learning modalities and capabilities to meet learner needs
  • Remain current with learning trends and production solutions
  • Possesses learning industry knowledge and experience to connect business initiative support to Chick-fil-A's business goals
  • Project manage all facets of the production cycle from detailed design to execution, facilitating timelines, production meetings, stakeholder requests, team resourcing, logistics, budget, talent roster, etc.
  • Adapt, in the moment, to unforeseen circumstances- i.e., including but not limited to issues with physical space set-up, talent sourcing, technology, props, etc
  • Process project invoices as needed
  • Leverages existing L&D and Chick-fil-A systems, platforms, and processes to ensure consistent and timely delivery of outputs (i.e., CFA VIS standards, Learning Strategy, Content Strategy, Digital Learning platforms, etc.)
  • Provide production expertise for learning solutions to key stakeholders
  • Ensure production deliverables meet Learning and performance objectives in support of Audience Team learning experience
  • Conduct/Lead post work reviews as designed or required and share themes with and from Audience team
  • Provides input and consultation, as requested, to departmental teams to evolve, improve or change learning delivery methods or modalities
  • Manages pool of vendors, as needed
  • May lead or direct projects independently

  • 5 or more years of related work experience
  • 1-2 years of media or content production experience
  • 1-2 years of vendor management experience
  • Ability to multi-task efficiently
  • Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and other related computer programs
  • Ability to build and foster healthy relationships within and outside of CFA
  • Execution focus – detail orientation
  • Point of contact for production logistics
  • Exhibit deep understanding of specific learner audience and exhibit empathy
  • Problem solving
  • Ability to make quick and integrative decisions considering different business factors, the culture, and long-term implications; ability to manage competing priorities
  • Ability to own all production deliverables
  • Ability to provide targeted feedback
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, education, instructional design, or related field
  • 3 or more years' experience in training or production industry
  • Familiarity or knowledge of modern adult learning practices and/or production
  • Proven track record of project management
  • E-learning development or production
  • Experience or knowledge of online video hosting and file-sharing tools/platforms
  • Knowledge of the restaurant industry
  • Knowledge of Adult Learning Theory
