Job description

Job Summary: 

We are seeking a highly skilled Lean Contractor to join our team for a multi-month engagement, starting in January 2024. The ideal candidate will have the necessary certifications and a proven track record in Lean methodologies, with a strong focus on waste elimination. Experience in facilitating Kaizen events and a background in consulting with SaaS companies is preferred. As a Lean Contractor, you will play a critical role in helping us optimize our processes, reduce waste, and improve overall efficiency. Responsibilities:

  • Lean Process Improvement: Lead and facilitate Lean initiatives to identify, prioritize, and eliminate waste across various departments within the organization.
  • Kaizen Facilitation: Organize and manage Kaizen events, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and achieve tangible results.
  • Data Analysis: Utilize data-driven insights to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement, and develop action plans accordingly.
  • Lean Training: Provide Lean training and guidance to team members and stakeholders, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Project Management: Manage and oversee the entire Lean engagement, ensuring timelines are met, and goals are achieved.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of Lean initiatives, changes, and improvements for future reference and reporting.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with SaaS teams to understand their unique challenges and tailor Lean methodologies to address specific needs.
  • Reporting: Regularly report on the progress of Lean initiatives, highlighting successes and areas for further improvement to senior management.
  • Should be OK with turning over finalized project plan to one of our internal PMs to implement.


Education and Experience: 

  • 5+ years with a proven track record as a lean practitioner
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Six Sigma, Lean Practitioner, etc.).
  • Proven experience in implementing Lean principles and facilitating Kaizen events in a corporate environment, with a focus on waste elimination.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to plan, execute, and track Lean initiatives.
  • Proficient in data analysis and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams and communicate Lean concepts.
  • A track record of delivering measurable results through Lean initiatives.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically to identify and resolve issues.

Preferred: 

  • Experience in consulting with SaaS companies or technology-driven organizations is preferred.
  • Healthcare tech experience is strongly preferred.

 

 Travel: 

  • Some travel to our Machesney Park, Illinois headquarters will be necessary.

Our urgent care solutions include:

  • Electronic Medical Records (EMR): Software that healthcare providers use to input patient data, such as medical history, diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and test results.
  • Patient Engagement (PE): Software that shows patients the wait times at various clinics, allows patients to reserve a spot in line if there's a wait, and book the appointment.
  • Practice Management (PM): Software that the clinic front desk staff uses to register the patient once they arrive for their appointment.
  • Billing and Revenue Cycle Management (RCM): Software that manages coding, billing and payer contracts for clinics so they don’t have to.
  • Teleradiology: Board certified radiologist providing accurate and timely reads of results from X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and ultrasounds, for our urgent care clients.
  • Consulting: Consulting services for urgent care clinics to assist with opening, expanding and enhancing client's businesses
