Leadership

At Chick-fil-A, Leaders are responsible for leading all aspects of shift management and ensuring that each restaurant guest has an outstanding experience. Leaders are responsible for supervising assigned stations for an entire shift and may be assigned to open or close the restaurant; following established opening and closing procedures. Leaders are responsible for creating and maintaining environments of care for team members and guests.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Insuring that Team Members follow recipes and read tickets to accurately prepare all orders.
• Insuring that Team Members are extremely accurate with weights and measurements for all recipe items.
• Insuring that Team Members work at a pace to maintain restaurant's established speed of service guidelines.
• Insuring that workstations are clean at all times.
• Insuring that cashiers follow cash handling procedures at all times.
• Executing proper security and cash handling and control procedures and holds cashiers accountable to adhering to policies and procedures.
• Insuring that Team Members monitor dining room, restroom, parking lot and overall facility cleanliness.
• Performing any of the tasks above as needed throughout shift.
• Addressing guest issues that may arise; consults with management regarding complex issues.
• Maintains a positive working relationship and treats all employees with respect while providing them with direction and feedback.
• Identifying potential leaders
• Providing feedback on the developmental process of team members
• Collaborating with other team members and leaders
• Placing the right people in the right positions with the right amount of people
• Strictly adhering to all Company policies and procedures.

Availability Expectations:

• Monday - Saturday availability a must.
• Leaders schedules will vary working 8-10 hours/day to help accommodate shifts, meetings, and needs of the business, working 5 days/week for a total of 40-45 hours/week .

REQUIREMENTS

• Reliable transportation with a current driver's license is required.
• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Have at least one-year previous restaurant management or leadership experience is preferred.
• Minimum 18+ years old
• Previous customer service experience preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Chick-fil-A’s journey can be traced to the Dwarf Grill (now the Dwarf House), a restaurant opened by our founder S. Truett Cathy in 1946. The restaurant is located in Hapeville, Georgia, a suburb of Atlanta, and is near the location of the now-demolished Ford Motor Company Atlanta Assembly Plant, for many years a source of many of the restaurant's patrons. The restaurant was open 6 days a week, 24 hours a day, and always closed on Sundays. A practice started then but still holds true for Chick-fil-A restaurants today to give employees a day to rest and worship if they choose.

In 1967, two years after finally perfecting his chicken recipe, Cathy opened the first Chick-fil-A restaurant based purely on the sandwich. The first location was in Atlanta's Greenbriar Mall and was only 384 square feet. Chick-fil-A headquartered in College Park, Georgia now operates over 2,909 restaurants across 48 states, as well as in the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and Canada.

Most Chick-fil-A® restaurants operate between the hours of 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday, with breakfast served from 6 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and lunch and dinner served from 10:30 a.m. until 10 p.m. Some hours may vary by location. In our kitchens, we focus on fresh and simple ingredients. A great reminder for us is in our name Chick-fil-A. The capital “A” symbolizes the top quality we want to give in our food and hospitality we serve up daily to guests.
