Ase Learning Academy is a new child development center in Metairie, LA. We provide a culturally responsive Montessori community approach to teaching and learning for all little scholars we serve.

We are looking for teachers who are eager to learn and grow in early education. We are interested in teachers that are creative, unique, and maintain a positive attitude. Our ideal candidate is someone who can implement engaging strategies for curriculum and build appropriate positive relationships with young children. We are in search of energetic teachers who have a collaborative spirit and can manage healthy positive relationships with teachers, administrators, students, and parents to help develop lifelong learners.
The teacher will work collaboratively with lead teacher and/or Director and Assistant director to plan and implement the daily education and programming for children. Teachers will work to ensure that all classroom activities and environment are developmentally appropriate and meet the individual needs of children as mandated by federal and state laws and are a reflection of ALA's philosophy and standards.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans for children in accordance with the curriculum guidelines
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Create engaging activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff members
- Assess and monitor the progress of each child and provide feedback to parents
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive learning environment
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom
Qualifications
- CDA/Associates Degree in Early Education preferred
- Previous experience working with young children
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to effectively manage behavior and create a positive learning environment
- Proficiency in using learning technology tools to enhance instruction
- Strong classroom management skills
