Veterinary Shift Lead
Corona Animal Emergency Center (CAEC) is currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Veterinary Shift Lead to join our team. As a leader within our emergency veterinary hospital, you will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation of our facility during your designated shifts. Our ideal candidate is a seasoned veterinary professional who possesses exceptional leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of emergency veterinary care, and a passion for providing outstanding patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Act as a role model and mentor to the veterinary staff, fostering a positive and collaborative team environment. Provide guidance, support, and direction to team members, ensuring the highest level of patient care and customer service.
- Patient Care: Collaborate closely with veterinarians and Veterinary Technicians to oversee and coordinate patient care. Ensure that all medical treatments, procedures, and protocols are carried out effectively and efficiently.
- Emergency Management: Demonstrate proficiency in handling emergent situations, making swift decisions, and directing the team in high-pressure scenarios. Prioritize and triage cases based on severity.
- Client Communication: Interact with clients compassionately and effectively, addressing their concerns, providing updates on patient status, and ensuring exceptional client service throughout their experience.
- Training and Development: Assist in training new team members, ensuring they are well-versed in protocols, procedures, and best practices. Facilitate ongoing education and skill development for the veterinary team.
Requirements:
- Licensed Veterinary Technician: Must hold a valid license as a Veterinary Technician.
- Experience: A minimum of 2 of experience in emergency veterinary care.
- Strong Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, team members, and management.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
