POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction of a radiologist, performs and oversees Ultrasound exams at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. Performs quality control procedures as required by the manufacturer; evaluates all orders, verifies them with radiologist, and ensures the proper exam is performed. Responsible for interacting with hospital staff and/or nursing departments regarding patient care, concerns, and conflicts by identifying and assisting in the resolutions. Performs a variety of technical procedures that requires independent judgement and ingenuity. Responsible for management of all clinical and non-clinical activities in Ultrasound. Formulates policies and procedures which contribute to the mission of the department and hospital. Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times. Routinely works weekends, holidays, evenings, nights, overtime, and/or on an on-call/call-back status, when needed. Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduate of an approved accredited Ultrasonography School program
CPR certified.
Certified by ARDMS or ARRT
3 Years US experience
Supervisory experience desired but not required.
AAS preferred or equivalent clinical/administrative experience.
EDUCATION / LICENSURE:
Satisfactory completion of an approved accredited Ultrasound School Program.
Certified by ARDMS or ARRT in ultrasound
