We're looking for a mobile-focused Lead UI Artistto join our Medical team and drive the UI vision as we grow a new genre of hyper-casual medical games in the video game industry.
*Note: This is not a UX Designer or Product Designer role , it's for a Lead UI Artist with deep experience working in-engine in Unity3D and mobile.
Responsibilities

• Lead the definition and implementation of innovative UI solutions that serve gameplay and enhance the user experience.
• Lead UI Artists along with being accountable for all UI-related content.
• Ensure UI consistency across all projects and maintain a consistent visual identity.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and in-game UI assets for mobile games.
• Oversee the UI creation process from concept to final implementation, including UI correctly adapting to various screen formats and resolutions with appropriate anchoring and scaling.
• Collaborate closely with Game Design, Production, Engineering, Product, Marketing, and Sales Leads to meet client deliverables and expectations.
• Document and update UI pipelines and workflows.
• Utilize user-centered design methodologies to refine UI elements based on player feedback and usability testing.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6+ years of professional experience working in game development, including time in a leadership position ( required).
• Hands-on experience working in Unity3D creating and implementing UI assets on mobile (required).
• Experience shipping at least 3+ games or apps (required).
• Experience leading a small UI team and working full game development lifecycles.
• Excellent portfolio showcasing a variety of UI designs, including work on shipped mobile games.
• Deep understanding of mobile UI design principles and processes, including technical constraints and optimization techniques.
• Experience working with clients or publishers, deadlines, and IP.
• Demonstrable experience with Adobe CC design tools, Sketch, Figma, or similar.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with an ability to articulate design concepts and rationales

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience working in Unreal Engine and Blueprint.
• Proficiency in using AI technologies for UI design, including AI tools and design task automation.
• Familiarity with 3D modeling tools like Blender or Maya, providing an edge in creating dynamic UI elements.
• Background in psychology or human-computer interaction for understanding player behavior and preferences.

Salary Range

• The salary range for this position is $105,000 to $120,000 annually, based on the individual's experience and qualifications.
