Theater Outsource is a staffing firm that serves to match amazing live events and theatrical production talent with our amazing clients that operate in numerous areas of the entertainment space. We work with candidates across the country to connect them with stage rigging, lighting technician, audio/visual technician, project management, sales manager roles, and several others.
Our client is in the Theatrical Lighting Product sales Industry and is currently looking to fill the Lead Lighting Installer role.
THIS WILL REQUIRE RELOCATION! Ideal candidates will have extensive Theatrical Lighting installation experience.
- Understand and follow DMX protocol for new lighting installations in venues and event spaces
- Understand networking systems for proper installation
- Pull/run cable and make terminations successfully and safely
- Hang and focus lighting fixtures, including LED products
- Program lighting console(s), GrandMA, ETC, Hog etc. and able to conduct basic training
- Must be able to work on a lift, catwalk or scaffolding.
- Will be or will be willing to be Lift certified
- Able to commission lighting architectural systems and will be or willing to become a certified factory technician, specifically ETC and Strand
- Lighting and system design and drafting
- Be willing to lead and supervise a crew of installers
- Will learn and operate in company designated inventory software (i.e. JetBuilt, NetSuite and Flex)
Requirements
- Ability to follow safety protocols without exception.
- Extensive knowledge in stage/entertainment lighting, DMX and network and control systems.
- Knowledge of basic warehouse operations and equipment
- Basic skills in the safe operation of standard hand and power tools.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work under frequently tight deadlines with accuracy.
- Ability to solve problems quickly and issues.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions of supervisors and communicate openly and clearly with others.
- Vectorworks proficiency preferred but not required
- General knowledge of and understanding of safe rigging practices
- Proficient at soldering connections
- Proficient at operating a voltmeter
This person in this role will be able to traverse large events spaced and be able to work a min of 30 ft in the air. The person in this role must be able to move up to 100 lbs occasionally, and up to 50 lbs frequently, push, pull and move or traverse large event spaces. This person in this role will be comfortable and will frequently work at great heights.

Pay: $65,000.00 per year
