Job Functions:

  • Performs software testing in an iterative environment and follows CDSS/ISD Quality Assurance Standards for testing.
  • Collaborates on sprint planning, sprint refinement, user story/requirement (Product Backlog) analysis, refinement, and acceptance criteria.
  • Identify and provide test environment requirements.
  • In collaboration with CDSS, identify system access requirements and permissions necessary by roles.
  • Identify test data requirements and ensure the security regarding the use, coping or saving of any sensitive or personally identifiable information (PII).
  • Provides the work breakdown and capacity for testing each sprint.
  • Creates, adds & assigns testing tasks for each user story.
  • Provides estimates on the Level of Effort (LOE) in hrs., and/or Story Points (Fibonacci). Commits to the work items identified for each sprint iteration.
  • Provide progress on testing and any impediments (in a timely manner).
  • Creates, updates, and maintains test cases using best practices (ASTQB) and CDSS standards.
  • Codes and creates test scripts, configurations, pipelines, key vaults, Cron jobs, reporting, etc. to support full test automation (end to end) for each user story, as well as the FMS features and automated regression test suites.
  • Procure, maintain, update, and configure test data.
  • Performs Functional and Non-functional testing (including cross browser/cross platform testing, Accessibility testing that complies with WCAG 2.2 requirements, Security Testing in compliance with OWASP 4.0.3 standards, and Load/performance testing/benchmarks)
  • Perform test execution, test verification and test case validation.
  • Prepare and provide test metrics to CDSS on a weekly basis that show progress and completion of test items (both manual and automation tests).
  • Provide Test Summary Report for each iteration, and production release.
  • Adhere to SDLC and STLC practices.
  • Follow the CDSS Defect Lifecycle Management process for all bugs & defects.
  • Participates (or co-hosts as needed) in weekly defect meetings with the project, developers, and product owner(s).
  • Prepares and distributes weekly defect report (by status, priority, and severity).
  • Ensures all Severity 1 and Severity 2 defects are prioritized and resolved prior to any production deployment.
  • Ensures testing deliverables and test artifacts meet the Deliverables Expectations Document (DED).
  • Ensures the test cases, test scenarios, test results and supporting results artifacts fully meet the defined User Story requirements and Acceptance Criteria.
  • Responsible for preparing and delivering traceability matrix that includes all test cases, test scenarios and defects associated to user story requirements, including features/epics and clearly identifies gaps (where are insufficient no test case coverage as well as any gaps in requirements).

Mandatory Qualifications:
  • 8+ years experience as a Tester in a lead role managing information technology projects using a Cloud hosted solution.
  • 6+ years experience as a Tester in a lead role applying Iterative development methodologies on a large-scale and medium complexity IT project.
  • 10+ years experience as a Tester in a lead role directing cross-disciplinary teams in an Iterative development environment on a large-scale and medium complexity project.
  • ASTQB foundation Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) current certification.
  • One or more of the following ASTQB certifications:

• Agile Testing
• Expert Test Management
• Usability Testing
• Advanced Agile Technical Testing
• Advanced Test Analyst
• Advanced Technical Test Analyst
• Advanced Test Automation Engineer
• Advanced Test Manager
The compensation for this position is $150,000 to $170,000 per year depending on experience and qualifications. Employees are also eligible for performance-based bonus/ to participate in a performance-based incentive plan. This position is eligible for a benefits package including; medical, dental, vision, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, 7 paid holidays and 13 days accrued PTO.
