Epidemiology and Cancer Control is looking for a Lead Survey Interviewer.
The survey interviewing team speaks to research study participants and gathers data through phone interviews. This data is used for clinical research studies. The right person may have some leadership experience, excellent communication skillsverbal, in person, and through various systems, and email as well. You will also need good computer skills. You are able to help design your own schedule, however you will need to be flexible enough to work some weekends shifts and evening shifts. We want you to be able to work around your own schedule and needs, while also working with your team to ensure the work is done. Main tasks for the role of Lead Survey Interviewer include:
-Supports the implementation of the overall program of data collection for the Department of Epidemiology.
-Recruits eligible study participants via mailed recruitment materials and phone calls.
-Schedules interview appointments and conducts telephone interviews with targeted participants.
-Performs data entry, electronic data collection, and tracing to support research studies.
-Prepares files and reports for the various studies.
-Works a flexible schedule (e.g. nights and weekends) to accommodate research participant schedules and survey center hours of operation.
-Assists with the coordination, prioritization, and oversight of call center activities. -Monitors call center activities on nights and weekends.
-Ability to work a flexible schedule with some nights and weekends.
Minimum Education and/or Training:
- High school/GED required
- Associate's degree or at least two (2) years of college education preferred
Minimum Experience:
- Two (2) years of related work experience required. Experience with data collection and electronic database entry required
- Experience and education involving the collection and/or management of data in a research, medical, or a scientific field preferred
- Experience with telephone- based data collection or in customer service or customer sales preferred
