Lead Sterile Processing Technician needed! We are looking on behalf of Northwest Community Hospital, part of NorthShore University HealthSystem, for experienced SPTs as a lead technician. If interested, see and apply here for immediate consideration:
Position: Lead Sterile Processing Technicians
Location: Arlington Heights, IL
Shift: 8 hour shifts, rotating weekends
Shift: 11am - 7:30pm
Pay: Pay depends on experience starting at $20/hr for new graduates plus shift differential and benefits!
Shift Differential: Evenings $1.10/hr, Nights $1.50/hr, Weekends $0.90/hr
Must Haves:
- Certification: CRCST or CSPDT certification.
- Experience: 3-5 years
- Education: High school diploma and completion of Sterile Processing program
Responsibilities and Experience:
This position requires a high level of attention to detail and adherence to strict protocols to ensure patient safety. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Sterile Processing Techniques and the ability to work effectively in a healthcare setting. Candidates should have at least 5 years as a Sterile Processing Technician, Central Processing Technician (CPT), Central service technician (CST), Central Sterile Processing Technician (CSPT), Surgical Processing Technician, or Sterile processing and distribution technician (SPD tech or CPD tech).If you are dedicated, detail-oriented, and passionate about patient care, we encourage you to apply.

- Basic tray assembly, decontamination. Everyone in the Sterile Processing Department will be putting together trays, regardless of leadership title.
- Supervisors will be assigned a primary location, but must be comfortable assisting at sister sites as needed (when someone is on vacation, staffing needs fluctuate, etc.).
- Oversees the entire department with the manager. Responsible for the Sterile Processing function of the Sterile Processing Department when the Manager is unavailable.
- Ability to inform management of items and supplies needed to be ordered, assist in locating any needed items and adjust workflow as needed to fulfill department demands.
