About the Role
In this hands-on position, the Lead StaffSoftware Developer will be a critical member of a team of 7-10 full stack highly technical back-end developers as part of an effort to reimagine a proprietary, end-to-end production process control system. The back end of this system is heavily based on Python and MongoDB platforms while the front end is based on tools such as React, Node.js, GraphQL, etc. This person will work closely with the front-end development team to deliver the complete solution. The ideal candidate should have good knowledge of hardware systems, especially related to data center architecture.
This person will also be one of the lead software development contributors to the organization. This is a high-visibility role in the company and the successful candidate will be expected to work across organizations to achieve results. The person will guide and mentor a highly energetic group of junior and mid-level full-stack Software Developers, leading tasks, and providing mentorship and leadership. What You Will Do
- Be a lead for the software development team, designing our next-generation production software environment.
- Be the technical lead for 7-10 full-stack Software Developers
- Work with production and engineering to develop our future strategy
- Produce specifications, requirements, strategies, and methodologies for our new software architecture.
What you Bring
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering
- 6+ years of software development experience
- 3+ years of designing and leading large-scale software projects
- Extensive knowledge of the software development process and corresponding technologies utilizing SDLC and Agile development
- Excellent knowledge of computer architecture, networking, storage, etc.
- Broad understanding of Linux and Windows operating systems and programming languages, especially Python, C++ / C#,, and front-end development experience utilizing JavaScript, TypeScript, jQuery, React.js, and Node.js a plus but not required
- Knowledge of MongoDB, SQL, and Oracle database software development
