Redline Athletics in Bowie, MD is seeking an individual - Lead SportsPerformance Specialists (SPS) - who is passionate about sports and fitness and have a strong desire for excellence and success while working in a team-oriented atmosphere when assisting and training athletes. They must enjoy working with clients of all ages and abilities, with a primary focus on the 8 to 18 age group. Trainers will be working with athletes from all sports and engage in training with a focus on movement efficiency. The individual should be extremely energetic, motivating, passionate about athletic performance and ready to make a difference in each athletes’ life. Redline SPSs work with athletes on sports performance development. They assist the staff members on mobility and activation training, an active warm-up, speed development, sport specific skill development, and strength training.
About Redline Athletics Bowie. Redline Athletics Bowie is a premier facility for youth sports performance training. Our facility covers 9,000 square feet, including a basketball/volleyball court, low profile turf for speed and agility drills, rally rubber flooring that is engineered to promote safety and world-class performance, batting cages and a strength room. We offer memberships programs, one-on-one, group and team workouts. Redline’s training can be customized for preseason, during the season, and post season. .
About the Role. The Lead SPS is an integral part of the Redline team who work with our youth athletes on sports performance development. They assist with mobility and activation training, an active warm-up, speed and agility work, sport-specific skill development, and strength training as part of a proprietary 60-minute program. The Lead SPS will have additional responsibilities including oversight of trainers, tracking, monitoring, and reporting on athletes' performance, outreach to members, developing educational content for members and enhancing the Redline Bowie brand. The Lead will be required to be available at least 5 days per week for at least 25 hours per week.
Qualifications. The ideal candidate loves working with youth athletes and has either played professional or collegiate sports or trained professional or collegiate athletes. A background in Kinesiology, Exercise and Sports Science (or similar degree) and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification (or equivalent) is required. Compensation is based on an hourly rate, augmented by revenue-sharing for 1-on-1 sessions, team training, camps/clinics, etc. The Lead SPS role offers structured hours (part time) and the opportunity for advancement within a growing performance-based organization.
