Position Summary
Directs daily workflow and assists the Department Supervisor, Manager, and/or Director. Provides quality patient care when
performing diagnostic cardiology, vascular, or general sonographic imaging and related procedures to demonstrate anatomy for
interpretation and/or intervention under the supervision of the department supervisor, manager, or director.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of sonography. Depending on assigned department, meets education/training as required under
established current American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) and/or Cardiovascular Credentialing
International (CCI) guidelines.
Licensure/Certification
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers
(ARDMS); and
• Registered in Fetal Echocardiography (FE); and/or
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS);
and
• Registered in at least ONE of the following registries: Adult Echo (AE), Fetal Echo (FE) or Pediatric Echo (PE); and/or
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Advanced Cardiac Sonographer (ACS) or Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer
(RCCS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI); and/or
• Registered in Pediatric Echo and/or Congenital Echo for APH Cardiology Department; and/or
• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS); and
• Registered in at least ONE of the following registries: Vascular, Phlebology, Neurovascular (through The American Society
of Neuroimaging (ASNI)); and/or
• Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI); and/or
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers
(ARDMS); and
• Registered in TWO of the following registries: Abdomen, Breast, Musculoskeletal, Neurosonology, OB/GYN, Pediatrics,
or Vascular; and
• Maintains current BLS/HealthCare Provider certification.
Experience
A minimum of 3 years' experience.
Must demonstrate competency in performing routine and complex general ultrasound exams including, but not limited to,
Abdominal, OB/GYN, Pediatrics, Doppler, Interventional, Small Parts and Contrast examinations; or demonstrate competency in
performing routine and complex echocardiology exams including, but not limited to, 2-D and M-Mode Imaging, Strain, and Contrast
examinations; or demonstrate competency in performing routine and complex vascular sonography exams including, but not limited
to, 2-D and M-Mode Imaging, Color Flow and Spectral Doppler, Carotid Ultrasound, Venous Doppler Upper and Lower E
