About the role:

As Classy's Lead Social Media Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing our Social Media strategy. You will leverage your extensive experience to drive engagement, brand awareness and perception, and growth across multiple social platforms. You'll also work closely with the brand and communications team to develop a Social Media strategy for Classy's leadership team-- elevating their social presence and proactive dialogue in relevant and impactful online conversations.

What you'll accomplish:
  • Social Media Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive Social Media strategy to align with company goals and objectives.
  • Content Creation: Create and curate engaging and shareable content that resonates with our target audience.
  • Platform Management: Manage and maintain the company's presence on Social Media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and more.
  • Audience Engagement: Build and nurture a strong online community, engage with followers, and promptly respond to comments, messages, and industry posts.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Monitor and analyze Social Media performance, providing insights and recommendations to enhance engagement and reach.
  • Campaigns and Promotions: Plan, execute, and optimize Social Media campaigns that ladder up to specific initiatives and KPIs throughout the year.
  • Stay Current: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, Social Media best practices, and emerging platforms to ensure our strategies are cutting-edge. Elevate trending and timely nonprofit topics and conversations to the larger team.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team to ensure Social Media initiatives align with broader marketing efforts while also working cross-functionally with our GoFundMe partners on collaboration during crisis response moments.
What you bring (Required):
  • This position requires the candidate to be based in San Diego. While the candidate can work remotely, the role requires the candidate to be present to work on projects at Classy's San Diego headquarters.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 6-8 years of experience in Social Media management, with a proven track record of success.
  • Strong understanding of Social Media platforms, algorithms, and best practices.
  • Proficiency with Social Media management tools and analytics platforms.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to manage multiple Social Media accounts simultaneously.
  • Crisis management and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and teamwork capabilities.
  • Desire to intimately know and understand the nonprofit sector as a whole and Classy's nonprofit customers
What would be awesome to have (Preferred):

  • Familiarity with key marketing tools including but not limited to SproutSocial, Marketo, Salesforce, and Asana
Why you'll love it here:
  • Market competitive pay
