Job Summary:
This position works directly with ABA Connect’s clients on their individualized ABA therapy programs. You will be responsible for building and maintaining rapport, and keeping up to date on programming goals and implementing appropriate changes when directed by the BCBA for each child. A Lead Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) provides direct therapy to clients, supports training activities for new RBTs/BTs and models the professional and ethical values of ABA Connect. Our services include: early intervention in-home, in our treatment centers, and in community settings for young children educational services.

Essential Job Functions:
Reasonable accommodation will be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. The Lead RBT is responsible for the essential job functions of a Registered Behavior Technician, in addition to the following job functions:
- Be a direct contact for client families and liaison between BCBA and family/caregivers
- Create program materials for clients
- Deliver a minimum of 20 hours of direct therapy per week
- Provide in-person training for RBTs/BTs and give feedback to increase fidelity of services
- Plan, coordinate, and maintain schedules for all clients and RBTs/BTs; communicate schedules and changes to clients and staff
- Track clinic inventory and coordinate procurement of supplies
- Organize clinic employee recognition activities and events (team meetings, lunches, birthdays)
- Collect data on target behaviors using data collection devices.
Additional Duties:
- Meet regularly with BCBA(s) and parents/caregivers

Physical Demands:

- Must be able to regularly assume a variety of repetitive postures (kneeling, squatting, crouching, sitting, standing, etc.) in the course of working with children with developmental disabilities and behavior problems
- Must be able to frequently stand for sustained periods of time
- Must be able to frequently keep pace with and restrain/hold/lift children in the course of behavioral management
- Must be able to frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis
- Must be able to regularly work in a highly stressful environment while maintaining a calm demeanor throughout daily interactions with clients, staff, and parents
- Must have manual dexterity sufficient to regularly perform various keyboard functions
- Must be able to regularly give and receive detailed information through oral communication
- Must have visual acuity including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Must be able to frequently sit at a computer terminal for extended periods of time
- Must be able to regularly travel to and from different in the areas served by ABA Connect
- Must be physically present at the assigned job site
Qualifications
Education:
Education:
- Required: High school diploma or equivalent
Required license or certification:
- CPR certification
- RBT certification
Preferred:
- Working towards or has obtained a Degree in Behavioral Science or related field (such as; Psychology, Special Education, Elementary Education, Applied Behavior Analysis, Occupational/Physical/Speech Therapy or Counseling/ Social Work)
- Valid, current driver’s license & current car insurance on vehicle
Additional Eligibility Requirements:
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Knowledge of Autism and other developmental disorders
- Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
- Previous experience working with a range of children with autism, developmental disorders or typically developing children
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment
- Passion for helping children achieve their full potential

- Willing to learn and implement new skills
Job Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.

- 1+ years of experience working with children and teens.

Salary: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
