Job Summary and Qualifications

Lead Radiology Technologist

Our diagnostic imaging team are a committed, caring group of professionals, and we are currently seeking a Lead Radiology Technologist on a full-time basis. As Lead Radiology Technologist, you will perform routine diagnostic procedures for clinical X-rays in a careful, compassionate and respectful manner. You will also assume responsibility for patient flow and all other patient care issues while ensuring both employee and patient safety.

Please note our facility is a Level II Trauma Center which requires availability for rotating call assignments. 
Lead Radiology Technologist tasks and responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

· Obtain high-quality radiographic and fluoroscopic images

· Assist in administration of contrast media in accordance with departmental policy and procedure

· Prepare and position patients and equipment in a caring and safe manner

· Ensure all equipment and supplies utilized during procedures are maintained and in ready condition

· Communicate proactively and effectively with patient and radiologist regarding any findings patient histories and test results as appropriate

· Collaborate and confer with all caregiver colleagues and members of the healthcare team

Qualifications

· Graduate of a Radiologic Technology program at an AMA-approved educational institution

· Associate Degree

· Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT)

· Valid ARRT (R) required

· Three (3) to five (5) years technical experience with extensive knowledge of equipment, accessories and procedures

· Additional certifications and Lead experience preferred 

· Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
