Job Title: Lead Quality Engineer

Job Duties:
Influences the development of the QA strategy, methodology, discipline, and framework. Seeks improvements in areas of automated testing and agile testing; provide technical expertise in Test Automation, Testing Methodologies, Testing Processes, Tools and Techniques across the teams; responsible for driving QA strategy, approach, and execution in development projects; provide technical expertise within Test Automation and Quality Assurance; ensure testing skill set is up to date and capable of supporting the development effort; focus on continuous QA improvements including usage of appropriate testing tools, test techniques, test automation; building and maintenance of quality standards as well as enforcing technical and testing standards; help to monitor all the QA activities, test results, leaked defects, root cause analysis and identifying areas of improvement. Implement steps required to improve the processes; ensure the proper usage of available tools to gain the maximum benefit of the QA effort. This includes testing tools for functional, application performance, automation, etc.; supports or leads training and continuous learning of QA staff by means of short courses, conferences, meetups, certifications, etc.; be an escalation point for all matters related to testing and quality assurance for the QA teams; work with development team to execute QA strategies to meet and exceed department and corporate quality goals; gather and present testing metrics and testing activities for the projects to key stakeholders; collaborate with business partners, such as Customer Support, Client Services and Operations to incorporate feedback into the QA process; facilitate inter-team communication across many agile projects within the organization; measure Product Quality and share metrics with the teams, management, and other stakeholders.
Telecommuting permitted- will have opportunity to work at various unanticipated locations throughout U.S.
Requirements:
The position of Lead Quality Engineer requires a Bachelor’s degree or its foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field and seven (7) years of progressively responsible, post-baccalaureate experience.
Additionally, the applicant must have the following:
- Experience with test planning, design, strategy, and execution for software and product development;
- Experience with performance, scalability, security, automation, and release management testing;
- Experience with Cloud environment experience (Azure) and cloud technologies;
- Experience with development and production delivery processes;
- Experience with automation tools, frameworks, and best practices for UI and API automation (JMeter, Blaze Meter, Postman, Python 3.x, Pytest, Selenium, BrowserStack, MABL);
- Experience with Agile tools (Azure Dev Ops, GIT) and Methodologies (Scrum, Kanban);
- Experience with continuous integration tools (Azure Dev Ops, Jenkins);
- Experience with data validation and quality testing expertise.
