1st Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee work and facilitate adjustments to the workflow (people, processes, equipment) for optimal production.
- Facilitate problem solving with team members to identify problems and develop solutions to eliminate waste, using formalized problem solving tools (PDCA, Kanbans, error proofing, visual controls etc.).
- Partner with leadership team to optimize work flow through firm/stream.
- Actively participate in setting goals, tracking and evaluating productivities for Value Stream/Firm.
- Promote employee engagement and develop team members by building relationships, coaching, setting expectations and providing feedback and recognition.
- Responsible for equipment, assure that it is operating properly.
- Communicate effectively by facilitating and participating in various meetings including Tier I, lean ideas, Kaizen and project updates-also sharing reports and information individually and with groups.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiative
- Use Standard Work methodologies to meet production goals by managing and maintaining production boards, monitoring the production flow, quality and safety.
- Performs other projects or miscellaneous duties as requested or assigned.
Education
- High School Diploma or GED
Experience
- Experience with Lifetouch pre-Production Processes and software.
- Experience applying continuous improvement tools and techniques.
- Alpha numeric & 10-key keyboard experience.
Other (knowledge, skills, and abilities):
Qualifications may vary by department to include:
- Advanced computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Demonstrated knowledge and ability to promote and apply Lifetouch lean principles.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to provide detailed instructions to fellow team members and delegate duties and needed.
- Demonstrated ability to see color. May need to pass standardized color test.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge and ability to perform all tasks in a work cell.
- Advanced image enhancement software skills.
- Ability to lead and promote a team environment across multiple work cells and shifts.
- Ability to troubleshoot and flex for the cell to maintain the appropriate pace or tempo.
- Comprehensive ability to recognize, adapt and correct various situations, tasks and performance issues that may need addressed within the cell.
Physical Requirements:
The physical requirements described here must be met by an employee to successfully perform the primary duties and responsibilities. When performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit, stand, walk, bend, squat, climb, kneel, crawl, twist, balance, reach, use hands and fingers to perform repetitive tasks and assemble/disassemble equipment. The employee must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
