thelab is looking for a Lead Producer to lead large website rebuild projects from kickoff, through launch and ongoing conversion optimization. This client facing role is centered around delivering experiences that span across Digital Products, tech platforms and marketing optimization. Thelab handles all aspects of strategy, creative, and engineering in-house-projects cover all aspects of the digital ecosystem over their lifecycle.
The ideal candidate would have experience working on both large website builds and the marketing materials that drive traffic (digital display, paid social, online video, as well as email marketing). This role will work closely with a team of UX/UI designers, animators, copywriters, and developers to build a vision for the project and execute against that vision. An analytical mindset will be critical to evaluating what aspects of our work are performing well and where there is opportunity for A/B testing or other optimization.

What You'll Do
- Manage timelines and budgets for both small and large-scale digital projects
- Manage product roadmap to help clients identify and prioritize a feature backlog
- Lead client meetings, coordinate notes, and create follow-up tasks as needed
- Review deliverables to ensure project goals have been met before delivery
- Ensure projects stay within timelines and budget
- Develop clear and concise weekly project reports
- Turn client strategy and goals into project briefs
- Engage with the Creative, Development, and QA teams to track their progress and ensure any blockers are addressed in a timely manner
- Track tasks and progress across multiple projects using project management software such as SmartSheet, Workfront, Asana, and bug-tracking software, including Jira, Redmine, or similar
Essentials
- 8 to 10 years experience in related digital roles at a major website, digital agency, publisher, consulting firm, financial, retail/e-commerce, CPG, or FMCG organization.
- Ability to maintain and grow client relationships through excellent communication, creative thinking, and problem solving
- Adept at writing extremely detailed and clear project documentation (SOWs, Creative Briefs, Performance Reports, etc.)
- Experience with managing medium-sized cross-functional teams
- Ability to digest analytics reporting and guide discussions on performance optimization opportunities
