For more than 50 years Petits Enfants has provided exceptional care, learning environment, and a place for children to feel at home to grow holistically. We are searching for a dynamic Pre-K teacher who is looking to take charge and help the kids become the best they can be and to foster their growth emotionally, physically, mentally, and academically.
Responsibilities for this position:
- Design and implement age appropriate lesson plans. The teacher will have tremendous input on the lessons the children learn.
- Maintain a clean environment while ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the children in the class.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and staff.
- Consistently interacting with children in a positive and encouraging manner.
- Assess students and keep records of progress.
- Multitasking -- being aware of classroom environment and dynamics.
- Ability to follow directions and be a team player
Requirements:
- Must be reliable and be able to work 5 days/wk.
- Previous experience in an early learning environment preferred.
- Enthusiastic, calm, and positive personality
- Associates or bachelor’s degree or CDA required.
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
- Will be required to be on their feet for most of the day.
- Must pass background check, including impeccable references.
